The DSD Lesser is the decoy that started it all! Our Original Lesser decoy proved that attention to detail in a decoy can change your goose hunting experience and we’ve only increased its effectiveness since then. These decoys have proven to be effective on everything from cacklers to honkers.
Since our original Lesser decoy was introduced we have made updates to perfect it. This includes a new highly textured surface to create an almost “flocked” appearance, more wing and tail separation, improved paint scheme and of course our A.C.E. 2.0 material.

Honestly, I’d never heard of Dave Smith Decoys until last year. I’ve almost exclusively hunted ducks over GHG Wigeon decoys and have just started hunting geese 4 years ago with a friend of mine who’s been hunting geese for quite some time. Last year he purchased his first DSD Lesser’s and I couldn’t have been more blown away by the detail, coloration, and posturing. He has many full bodies that I was pretty impressed with until these showed up. I was so impressed with them that just recently I purchased my own 12 piece Cackler set as a start to my meager spread of silhouettes and shells. I already can’t wait for the season to start and it’s just February!! Damn.

By far, the best decoys on the market… I run the lessors with the Honkers and it’s amazing how the birds continue to land and target my DSD’s no matter what other decoy may be in the field. All my buddies love to put my DSD’s in the hole!!! It does not matter what other decoy we put out, they are all inferior and the DSD’s expose the flaws in the other decoys.

Excellent quality and realism, the only thing I wish is that they would come with bases instead of stakes- constantly hunting on frozen ground, but that isn’t worth docking them to 4-star, no doubt these decoys are 5-star quality.
